What you’ll learn: A-Z Freestyle Stroke Technique

Our practical workshop focuses on improving the correct, foundational technique of the freestyle stroke (front crawl), specifically tailored for the demands of open water and triathlon. Over 6 hours, we will learn and practice the movement details that will make your swimming more efficient and economical:

  1. Body Position & Hydrodynamics: How to maintain a balanced and high body position in the water to reduce drag and swim with higher efficiency. Swim smoother, not harder.
  1. Effective Underwater Pull: Breaking down the phases of the stroke – the catch, the pull, the finish and recovery – for maximum propulsion while saving energy.
  1. Coordinated Body Rotation: How to utilize body rotation for a more powerful pull, efficient breathing, and reduced strain on the shoulders.
  1. Open Water Breathing Technique: Breathing to the side in coordination with body rotation, without breaking your stroke rhythm.
  1. Rhythm & Timing: Creating a harmonious stroke pattern that integrates the pull, body rotation, and breathing for smooth, consistent swimming.

Our Goal: To provide you with a solid technical foundation that will allow you to swim in open water with better technique, more efficiently, and with less effort. We’ll provide the tools to make your swim feel less like a battle and more like a rhythm. It’s time to stop surviving the swim and start owning it.

ABOUT HYDROMAN® WORKSHOPS

More Than a Swim Masterclass – A Foundation for Your Open Water Journey

At HYDROMAN®, our mission has always been to build a supportive and inspiring community for water enthusiasts. We started with open water events to provide a safe, challenging, and unforgettable experience in the unique waters of Most Lake. We witnessed hundreds of swimmers – from first-timers to seasoned triathletes – take the challenge and transform it into their personal victory.

However, we noticed a common theme: many athletes, strong on land, approached swimming with uncertainty. They were eager for the challenge of open water, but not fully equipped with the specific skills to make it their own. That’s why we created the HYDROMAN® Tech Swim Workshops.
This workshop is the natural extension of our community’s spirit and is proudly powered by the V Aquatics Swimming Academy® – the largest and most active academy of its kind in the Czech Republic. Every day, our academy is a home to a dynamic community of nearly 300 master swimmers and triathletes, aged 20-60, who train with us consistently throughout the season. This is the real-world laboratory where our methods are proven daily. It’s our commitment to ensuring that your journey into open water swimming or triathlon doesn’t just start at the starting line, but is built on a foundation of confidence, knowledge, and proper technique.
The V Aquatics Advantage: Elite Coaching for Endurance Athletes

This professional program is led by the Head Coach of V Aquatics Swimming Academy® and our most selected team of coaches. We specialize in translating the most advanced knowledge from the worlds of competitive swimming and triathlon science into practical, results-driven training.

  1. Demystify Open Water Swimming: To break down the unique challenges of lakes and races – navigation, mass starts, sighting, and efficiency – into learnable, repeatable techniques that anyone can master.
  1. Build a Stronger Community: To create a stepping stone between the pool and our HYDROMAN® Open Water Cup events. We’re not just preparing you for a race; we’re welcoming you into a tribe of like-minded individuals who learn, train, and grow together.
  1. Focus on Sustainable Improvement: We believe in teaching technique first. A sustainable, efficient Freestyle stroke is not just about going faster in one event; it’s about building a foundation for a lifetime of endurance swimming with less effort and a lower risk of injury.
