General Terms & Hydroman Conditions
- Organizer
– The organizer of the HYDROMAN Open Water Cup is V Aquatics Swimming Academy z.s., IČO: 11718153, Sámova 1574/12, Prague 10 – Vršovice.
- Participation Conditions
– Only the following persons may participate in the races:
– Those who are registered and have paid the registration fee,
– Those who have collected their registration kit (starter pack) on time and have been assigned a race number, which must be clearly marked on their shoulder and arm, and who are wearing a timing chip.
Timing Chip
– Must be placed on the wrist (left or right).
– Must be visibly attached using the designated strap.
– Must not be covered by any material (including neoprene or tape).
– Penalties for violations:
– Loss of chip: fine of 500 CZK.
– Damage to the strap: fine of 100 CZK.
– Swimmers participating in the recreational category do not wear a chip (time is not measured).
- Participant Declaration
Each participant declares that:
– They are participating voluntarily and at their own risk,
– Their health condition matches the demands of the race,
– They are aware of potential risks (injury, property damage),
– They have health/accident insurance (travel insurance for foreigners),
– They agree to the HYDROMAN Rules,
– They consent to the processing of personal data for race and marketing purposes.
- Organizer’s Rights
The organizer reserves the right to:
– Modify the schedule, race details, or conditions without prior notice,
– Use photos and videos from the event for promotion (without compensation),
– Cancel or adjust the race for serious reasons (e.g., extreme weather) without refunds.
- Race Execution
– The race will be held regardless of weather, except in extreme conditions threatening safety.
– The organizer is not liable for injuries, property damage, or other losses related to participation.
- Registration
– Conducted electronically via the IronTime registration form (link on the official V Aquatics Swimming Academy website).
– The organizer may limit or close registrations without notice.
– A valid registration = registration fee paid and credited to the organizer’s account.
– Unpaid applications may be canceled after 3 business days.
- Cancellation Policy
– Refunds are not possible per § 1837 letter j) of Act No. 89/2012 Coll., the Civil Code.
- Registration Kit
– Must be collected by each participant on race day at the designated time and location.
– When collecting, participants must present their race number or ID.
- Results
– Ranking is determined by actual finish time (IronTime chip timing).
– Results will be published on the event website.
HYDROMAN Rules
- Duty to Follow Instructions
– Every swimmer must fully respect and immediately comply with all instructions from the organizer, referees, volunteers, emergency services (EMS), and medical personnel.
- Safety Measures
– Swimmers must follow all safety rules set for the race. Strict prohibition on using:
– Fins and snorkels of any type,
– All jewelry, including bracelets, earrings, and necklaces,
– Any electronic devices, including watches, music players, and cameras,
– Other objects that could endanger the swimmer or others.
- Personal Participation
– Each participant must compete in person.
– Any form of substitution or racing under another person’s name is strictly prohibited.
- Finishing the Race
– Participants must complete the entire course and officially finish.
– Exiting the water along the shore is strictly forbidden due to rocky and dangerous terrain.
– If assistance is needed, the swimmer must:
– Lie on their back,
– Clearly raise one arm above water,
– Remain in this position and wait for the rescue team.
- Participants’ Health Condition
– Any participant who was not fully healthy or had health issues in the 7 days before the race must postpone participation.
– On race day, every swimmer must be in full physical and mental condition.
- Agreement with Rules
– By registering, the participant explicitly confirms that they have read the race terms and agrees to fully comply with all organizer’s regulations.
- Safety Supervision
– The event is continuously monitored by professional rescue teams stationed both on water and on shore.
- Health Declaration
– At registration, each participant declares in good faith that they are medically fit.
– Every swimmer takes responsibility for having valid accident and health insurance for this event.
- Chip Timing
– Each competitor receives a timing chip at registration.
– The chip must be returned immediately after finishing at the designated location.
– During the race, the chip must:
– Be placed on the wrist (left or right),
– Be visibly attached and uncovered (no neoprene or tape).
– Penalties for violations:
– Lost chip: 500 CZK fine,
– Damaged strap: 100 CZK fine.
