Most Lake, a unique natural gem of Northern Bohemia, was created in the place of a former coal mine where brown coal was once extracted. Today, it represents a remarkable blend of industrial history and natural beauty. The lake has become a popular destination, mainly thanks to its crystal-clear water, sandy beaches, and the stunning view of the majestic Hněvín Castle. Beneath the surface of Most Lake lie the remains of the flooded village of Kost, including the Church of St. Bartholomew, which was uniquely saved in the 1970s – moved aside on rails. Today, it stands as a symbol of the past and a reminder of cultural heritage preservation, adding deep historical and emotional significance to the lake. Most Lake is a symbol of transformation and renewal, inviting visitors to explore.
Participating in MOST Swim is not just a race – it’s an experience that connects you with nature. You’ll witness the unique harmony between the calm lake surface and the surrounding landscape, creating an unforgettable atmosphere.
To take part in MOST Swim means becoming part of a story of transformation, strength, tranquility, and hope that this place symbolizes. Whether you’re an experienced or a beginner swimmer, swimming in Most Lake will captivate you and leave a lasting impression, filling you with pride and a sense of personal victory.
